An Elegant Unrivalled Cabernet
At one time, the kingdom of Macedonia was the most powerful state in the world under Philip of Macedon (reign 359–336 BCE) and his son Alexander the Great, until his early death in 323 BCE. Wine in North Macedonia is even older, with archaeological evidence going back to the cult of Dionysus in 13th century BCE., when this land was famous for its rich, powerful wines. Here, winemaking is more than an Industry … it's a way of life, respecting a tradition and belief that the best wines are born from legacy.
A warm-hearted and welcoming country with lots of history to see as well as a fascinating wine scene, Alex ( The Great ) Trajkovski moved from Lazec, Northern Macedonia to Toronto, Canada and opened his first restaurant in 1977. His legacy and history include exceptional food, luxurious ambiance and attentive service, creating a memorable and unforgettable dining experience.
Now, an elegant, fine unrivalled Cabernet wine, “The Great” with its prized combination of black fruit aromas, structural tannins, and fresh acidity, is introduced as a further testimony to the life of Aleksander Trajkovski. His son, Peter, has not only inherited an enviable reputation, he has also acquired his father’s legacy and his dream of building a world class brand, offering an immersive and sophisticated experience that elevates dining to an art form.

Taste a Canadian Victory
The Battle of Stoney Creek was a pivotal event in the War of 1812 and Canadian History. This victory, achieved by a force of 704 infantrymen, primarily from the King's 8th and 49th regiments, along with about 20 artillerymen, 30 militia volunteers and 12 Mohawk allies, silently approached the American camp after midnight on the 6th of June. This surprise attack against an army of 3000, is seen as a defining moment in Canada's development as a nation, symbolizing courage, sacrifice, and a growing sense of national identity. Canadians, French and English colonial militias and Indigenous warriors supported the British regular army, forcing the Americans to break up their camp and retreat hastily back to the US. Once again Canada is under attack from our neighbours.
To suggest that Canada might willingly surrender its sovereignty betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of history. But perhaps, most importantly, all this rhetoric has reminded us what our country and our independence means and demonstrates a profound ignorance of what it means to be Canadian. Known for its resilience, confidence, a commanding presence, self-awareness and emotional intelligence, Canada has become one of the most loved nations globally. To celebrate our victory at The Battle of Stoney Creek and for the absolute fact that this land is our land, savor this elegant Cabernet…BATTLEFIELD. It is made from dark, thick-skinned grapes and its delicious taste, food-friendly nature, and ability to age gracefully, make it a top choice for many wine drinkers around the world.
